What is a snapshot?
In web3, a snapshot is generally a list of people (more specifically, the account addresses used by some set of people)
that have used a particular protocol or signed up for something at a specific time.
That's what it means in Phosphor, too; you can use a snapshot to define the community members or addresses that, e.g., should be eligible to claim an NFT drop.
When should I use one?
You should use a snapshot when you have a list of crypto account addresses that correspond to the community members you want to include in a drop.
